  • Great for a pop in, last minute session, meeting or solo workday. Weekday rates are 50$/hr. Full Day (8 Hour Max) Rate is $200.

  • Weekend rental is a great option for mini sessions and styled shoots. Weekend rates are 50$/hr.

  • We offer our Studio as a space for intimate events and gatherings of party sizes 8-25 people. All Event Rental is DIY Setup, and will include Basic Studio Furnishings, due to lack of storage, we do not put away any furnishings for events. We have seating available for up to 25 people with 18 White Cafe Chairs available for use and 6 small tavle tops. Our space is appropriate for light bites and refreshments. Events we have hosted include Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, Pop Up Vendor Storefront, Publication Shoot, Podcast Promo Shoot, Bridal Suite, Pop up Coffee Shop, Pop up Flower Shop, Pop up Vintage Shopping experience, Clothing Swap, Small Group Meeting Space, Birthday Gathering, Elopement, Styled Shoot, Vendor Meet and Greet. We are open to hosting artists, creatives, small businesses, church affiliated groups, non-profits, workshops, styled shoots, gallery openings. Send us a message to see if our space is a good fit for your event. A 15 minute self guided tour can be arranged on request. $100/hr.

 
 

FAQ

  • As a professional booking the studio, we expect you to read all important information listed in the booking module and on our website. If you miss information, we are happy to help you but please be sure to read through our website and social media for any relevant information first.

    First go to the Book the Studio tab which will bring you to our Acuity scheduler.

    The booking process is simple:
    Select your rate
    Find your date
    Select your time
    Agree to the terms
    Submit booking.

    We do not send invoicing, keep the confirmation email for your records.

  • We are located in Historic Benton Park Neighborhood which is a suburb of St. Louis City. Our address is 2870 McNair Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118.

  • Cocos is in a residential area so street parking along Pestalozzi is plenty, please park on Pestalozzi (South side of the Studio) and not on McNair as our neighbors all use McNair for their parking.

  • You can check availability by selecting a date, if a time is shown, that time is available.
    You can also see our google calendar availability here.

  • We have a ramp entrance into the building and a double French door entrance if extra width is needed. There is only one step up in the space leading to the bathroom, otherwise, we remain accessible.

  • We offer 10 minute self guided tours. Feel free to message us to set that up. You may walk through the space at your own pace.

  • Once we have received your booking AND payment, you will receive check-in information with key code, address, parking information and rules 1-2 days before your booking via text message. Please assure you have input the correct phone number, we are not responsible for missed bookings due to incorrect data.

    We will not send check-in information to any unpaid bookings. You must pay before your booking, your booking is not secure until it is paid for.

  • We will always have our Instagram updated with a video walkthrough of the latest seasonal setup. Head over to @cocosstl for more information. You will find the most recent updates in our stories so stay tuned.

  • We have a rolling backdrop wall in the space that is setup for you to quickly setup/attach seamless or another backdrop type rather quickly and efficiently.

  • Currently. we have various prop furniture including velvet sofas/chairs, bench and other prop or seasonal prop items. We have a couple stools to choose from to use, a backdrop stand, large and small reflector, extension cord, clips, bluetooth speaker, chargers, ring light, scissors, prop plants, a prop bed and various other items to help your session go smoothly.

  • We are first and foremost first come first serve to the St. Louis photography community so we stay setup as a photography studio 24-7. We do accept event bookings occasional for small gatherings that do not require tabletops or extra seating. Event bookings will have access to all studio furniture including seasonal setup and prop furnishings. Note there is a bed in our space that cannot be moved for event bookings, we do however have a moveable wall that could be placed to minimize the bed if that is a worry. Our space is ideal for parties of 20 or less. The event rate is $100/hr and does not include setup, only access and use of the space.

  • Yes, this space can be ideal for a Bridal or Groom Party needing a space to get ready. We have multiple furniture options, bathroom, extra seating, wifi, kitchenette and extra seating which makes it a good space for this type of booking. This rate is $100/hr.

  • Yes. Please cleanup after your booking. We often host clients back to back and no client wants to walk into a messy space. Please take care of the Studio like it is your own and be mindful of others after you. This means mop up messes, reset the setup if anything was moved, sweep if necessary, remove trash that was brought in and replace trash bags and clean up any excess mess. We like to think of this as a communal studio where we all care about each other and have a sense of working together.

  • We allow pets in the space but they must be held, leashed and or caged the entire time and at no time should be off-leash during the booking. We suggest appointing or having the client appoint a helper during their session. If any mess is made, please clean THOROUGHLY. No pets on furniture please.

  • We try to have a seasonal setup for Christmas and Valentines which is our clients hot booking seasons, otherwise sometimes we will have a fall setup or a minimal summer or spring set. Check our Instagram for updates.

  • No for the short answer. The long answer is, a lite beverage severed is fine like mimosa or wine but beyond that we do not want anything brought in the space. There will be a $500 smoking fee if it is found smoking has taken place.

  • In order to hold clients accountable and for the safety of all clients and their clients, we have 2 surveillance cameras in the space which will only be reviewed by the owner in the case of emergency. We want our clients and their clients to feel safe and comfortable.

  • I have been in Benton Park since 2019 and have never experienced anything threatening to my safety. The area is very walkable and friendly, tree lined sidewalks, dog walkers and cafe’s. As in any city, use wisdom but we believe your safety is not a concern.

  • We try to keep a couple backdrop options available relevant to the season, sometimes it is rolls of fabric, sometimes seamless. We offer these as a creative alternative for clients to use, however, we do not guarantee any specific color of seamless as we do not charge our clients extra for whatever we provide. We do have a backdrop stand ready for use if you would like to bring your own backdrop varities.
